Friday Confessional

-Today Sucks!

-My mom who visited for a week went home today

-It was a wonderful visit (mostly)

-We did some great shopping (I wish we had money though :))

-Now she's gone and it sucks

-I feel like I'm 13 crying for my mommy

-What's the deal!?

-Arn't you supposed to grow up at 32 with three kids of your own

-I know how hard it is for her to leave the grandkids and that sucks even more

-I know she has to go home to a job she doesn't like (ya who wants to be working at 62) and that sucks

-I already miss her

  2. THats a major bummer, but like shell said, at least you got to spend time with her! (not that, that matters right now.. but..)

Do you have plans to see her again any time soon? Maybe if you set a date, you wont be so sad, and you can start planning fun things to do for your visit instead!

  4. I totally hear ya here. I'm so excited my mom is coming next week and my laundry is going to be done before she gets here!..she is 65 and shouldnt have to be working either :( She took off a week to come up here and then another so I can hang out with her down there. Moms are the best!

  6. Hi Tylaine

I'm nearly 47 and I felt the exact same way when my Dad went home after a week here with us. In some ways I think it gets a lot harder as we get older to say goodbye - knowing our parents are getting older so the years left are shorter (my Dad is almost 75) is one thing but I think once you have children of your own you appreciate and love your own parents in a new and deeper way on so many levels.

I am glad you had a wonderful time with your Mom, knowing we had a great time when my Dad was here made the sadness at him leaving easier to deal with.
